Australia's
National Tree Day |
|
| In Australia, a Sunday is set aside each year at the end of July or the beginning of August for tree planting. Suitable and appropriate areas are chosen in communities across the nation where new young trees might be planted. Local councils or charities provide the native trees and volunteers spend a couple of hours doing the planting. One of Mudgee's selected areas was on Madeira Road just down from our house on the slope of Flirtation Hill. | |
